What is a World Scout Jamboree?

The World Scout Jamboree is an event that brings together Scout from all around the world to share the Scouting spirit. A jamboree is a peaceful time for Scouts to promote peace and a mutual understanding of what being a Scout is. It's also a wonderful opportunity to develop leadership and life skills. The World Scout Jamboree occurs only every four years and is hosted by a different country each time.

Who Attends the World Scout Jamboree?

The World Scout Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) event. Attendees include registered Scouts between the ages of 13 to 18 years old. Adult leaders and adult international service teams (jamboree staff) also attend. 50,000 Scouts are expected to attend.

The Jamboree Hosts

This 25th World Scout Jamboree will be hosted in South Korea. The dates are set for 1st of August to 12th of August 2023.

The Theme

The purpose of the theme, “Draw your Dreams”, is to encourage Scouts to dream and desire and to learn how to turn it into reality through the Scout movement. The jamboree will be a "smart jamboree", meaning there will be a lot of advanced technology used.

The official emblem for the 25th Scout World Jamboree is based on the Korean tiled roofs.

Where is the Jamboree Site?

The 25th Scout World Jamboree will be on the coasts of South Korea. Participants will have access to rivers, sea, and mountain terrain. To be precise, the location is SaeManGeum Tourism and Recreation District 1 [Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea]. The site is 2,500 acres.

What to Expect?

With so much space, you can bet South Korea will be going above and beyond your expectations. Extreme sports, cool crafts, chill downtime, adventurous exploring. This jamboree will have it all. Here's a little teaser.

How Much will it Cost?

The total price of attending the jamboree in South Korea depends on the contingent. You must factor in travels fees and contingent supplies. For now, we do have the registration cost. The 25th Scout World Jamboree has the lowest camp fee ever. Belize is listed as a class C country, as such the cost per participant to attend the jamboree is $500 USD.
