About Scouts
There are multiple programs within the Scouts of Belize organization. Each program is designed to appeal to a different age group and/or activity program.
Scouts is for boys and girls ages 11 to 15. This program encourages focusing on the outdoors, building life skills, and investing in hobbies. Scouts learn a variety of topics by working on their merit badges. Like the Camper Badge, earned by attending multiple nights of camps and knowing how to set up a tent. Or the Pioneering Badge, earned by learning knots.
Scout Promise
The Scout Promise is a reminder to keep the principles that make up Scouting. It is a commitment made by all members who join the Scouting movement. That's why it is important for every Scout to understand the words and meaning behind the promise.
I PROMISE TO DO MY BEST
TO LOVE GOD
SERVE MY COUNTRY
WORK FOR PEACE
AND BE TRUE TO THE SCOUT LAW
Scout Law
In order to promise to follow the Scout Law, you need to know what the Scout Law entails. The Scout Law holds the key values every Scout thrives to live by. It is in just about everything we do. It's in lessons we learn. In the camp games we play. And more importantly, in the leaders that guide you.
A SCOUT IS TRUSTWORTHY
A SCOUT IS LOYAL
A SCOUT IS HELPFUL TO OTHERS
A SCOUT IS KIND
A SCOUT PROTECTS LIFE AND NATURE
A SCOUT IS ORGANIZED AND DOES NOTHING BY HALVES
A SCOUT TAKES LIFE CHEERFULLY
