Be Knotty

Skill is what will save your life in a survival situation, and often times it is the simplest of skills that you have, which will be the most useful. Most of us learn from early on how to tie a knot. We know how to tie our shoes or even tie a ribbon on a gift. However, the type of knots you may need in a survival situation can be new to you.

 

Knot tying is a simple mechanical skill, all it takes is some practice. And once you become a natural, you won’t ever forget it. In other words, repetition is key. In emergency situations you want skills that come without thinking, where your hands know what to do before your brain.
